Sometimes. I’m selective about review copies and only accept books that genuinely fit my reading interests and schedule. Sending a book does not guarantee a review, and any opinions I share will always be honest.
If I DNF, I may mention why in a broader reading update, but I don’t normally rate or review a book I didn’t finish.
I try to keep reviews spoiler-free/light unless I clearly label a post or video as containing spoilers.
No, but I’m not interested in tearing books apart for entertainment. I’ll always be honest about what worked and what didn’t, but there are real people behind every book—and every author deserves credit for doing the thing.
I rate based on my overall reading experience: how invested I was, how well the story worked for me, and whether I’m still thinking about it after I finish. My ratings are personal reactions, not objective grades.
Not exactly. I may embed the video, but the blog post will usually add more detail, links, recommendations, or thoughts that didn’t fit naturally into the video.

Getting Started
That’s completely normal. Tell me a little about your manuscript and where you are in the writing process, and I’ll recommend the service that’s the best fit for your goals.
A First Chapter Review focuses on your opening and whether it makes readers want to keep going. Alpha Reading is for an earlier draft that still has room to grow. Beta Reading is for a more polished manuscript and focuses on how readers are likely to experience the finished story.
Yes. I offer a complimentary five-page sample for line editing and copy editing so you can experience my editing style before booking.
Yes. Many authors reserve their editing date while they’re still writing or revising.
Working Together
I’ll ask for a few details about your manuscript and, if needed, a short sample. From there, I’ll recommend the best service, answer your questions, and share my next available dates.
No. Every edit is completed by me using my own eyes, judgment, and professional editing experience.

Scheduling & Payment
Availability varies throughout the year, so booking early is always best—especially if you have a firm publication date.
Once we decide on the right service, I’ll send a contract and invoice. A deposit reserves your place on my calendar.
Life happens. Let me know as soon as possible, and I’ll work with you to find another date whenever I can.
I’ll send your invoice through Square, which offers several payment methods. Payment plans are also available.
Sometimes, depending on my schedule. Rush fees apply.
Editing Process
Timing depends on manuscript length and the service booked. I’ll give you a clear estimated turnaround before you reserve your date.
Revision reviews are usually part of the next stage of editing. Additional review outside the booked service can be arranged separately.
Yes. There are very few subjects I’m unable to work with. You’re welcome to let me know about sensitive material before booking so we can discuss it.

Yes. Returning authors receive increasing discounts through the Happily Ever After Loyalty Program:
- The Second Date — Projects 2–3: save 5%
- The Marriage of Convenience — Projects 4–5: save 10%
- The Happily Ever After — Projects 6+: save 15%
